Our Edinburgh office are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Qualified Senior Associate to join our audit team. Applicants must be either CA or ACCA qualified and display a commercially minded and organised approach to client work.
You will become a key part of a growing team that provides a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to diverse clients, including landed estates, charities, owner‑managed businesses and FCA regulated entities.
Responsibilities
* Project manage and drive forward the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients' finance teams.
* Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork and the completion of audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners.
* Have the opportunity to contribute to the direction and overall running of the team. There may also be opportunities to work on ad‑hoc projects such as department or firm‑wide working groups and client advisory work.

The Team
Our Edinburgh team provides tailor‑made services, including accounting, audit and assurance, tax, corporate finance and business advisory, for all aspects of our clients' lives. We advise on both personal and business affairs and assist at all phases of wealth generation, preservation and succession.
The office is home to 6 partners and over 70 staff and is located in a modern, purpose‑built space in Haymarket Square, within walking distance of the city centre with easy access to bus, tram and national rail services.
You
The successful candidate will be expected to lead a range of audits, supervise and coach junior staff, and liaise with tax staff, partners and clients. The role offers ample work for someone with solid technical audit skills and a desire to progress within a fast‑growing office that promotes advancement.
Qualifications and Skills
* CA or ACCA qualified.
* Strong audit experience, including planning and completion.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Client‑focused with a keen sense of commerciality.
* Up‑to‑date technical knowledge, including recent developments in accounting and auditing standards.
* Experience managing, training and mentoring staff on projects, and assessing performance.
* Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and pressured environment.
* Proactive nature and a strong team player.
