MIDAS, one of the UK's most successful inward investment agencies, is seeking a new Business Development Executive to support the Advanced Manufacturing & Low Carbon team in attracting companies to establish a presence in Greater Manchester.
Do you want to make a difference and play a part in growing Greater Manchester’s economy? You will need a passion for Manchester, some work experience in a busy commercial sales environment and an interest in the Advanced Manufacturing and Low Carbon sectors.
The successful candidate will support the Advanced Manufacturing and Low Carbon team with the delivery of MIDAS’ core services, working with companies to help them establish a presence in Greater Manchester and supporting existing companies with their growth plans.
You will be required to work up to 4 days per week in our Manchester Head office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the team by project managing the delivery of MIDAS services to new and existing investors to achieve annual targets for inward investment success and job creation.
2. Daily management of web/telephone and email-based enquiries, referring to relevant team for project management direction.
3. Desk-based research to support proposition development and conduct lead-generation activity.
4. After-care support to new investors as directed by the team.
5. Monitor FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) alerts and other relevant sources of data.
6. Support team in general business development activity such as attendance at events, conferences, networking, client meetings, and in-visits.
7. Update CRM maintenance and provide management information reports when required.
8. Adopt a collaborative and positive working style with all internal and external colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
