About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Quality Engineer to work for our client within the technology sector. This is a 6-month contract and will be a hybrid role based in Telford.
Quality Engineers are the custodians of quality within the scrum team, who implement the Core Modernisation Test Strategy and Project Test Approaches defined by the QA and QA Service Leads.
Role Overview:
Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their scrum team. The primary focus of this role is to automate as much testing as possible at all test levels, starting from scratch. This role requires sound software and system testing skills and a drive for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute system testing and/or system integration testing.
* Automate testing processes at all test levels.
* Drive quality deliverables, including tools, processes, measurement, environment, and data.
* Identify opportunities to adopt innovative testing technologies and techniques.
* Ensure a high level of confidence in the product through comprehensive testing efforts.
* Work across various platforms, tools, and applications, including Azure DevOps and Jira/Confluence.

* Ability to work within a team under the guidance of a Technical Lead.
* More senior grades - Proven leadership and coaching skills.
Required Technical Skills:
CI/CD, Software Testing, Gitlab (understanding of Git at least is essential), Java/Spring, Automation

Junit, Playwright, Gatling, OWASP Zap, SonarQube, GitHub Copilot, Wiremock, Wave, Axe, Kubernetes, Docker, Micro-services, AWS, Open API, WCAG, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, Agile Scrum, Agile Practices
