3-month contract position with a local authority
Summary
* This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority aimed at developing, coordinating, and supporting practice learning arrangements for professional social work training. The role is crucial in promoting and facilitating the achievement of post-qualifying awards and Continuous Professional Education and Learning (CPEL). The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the quality of social work training and professional development within the organization.
Responsibilities
* Support the Workforce Development and Training Manager in implementing the Social Care Workforce Development Plan for Adult and Children’s Services.
* Coordinate practice teaching arrangements within the Social Care and Health Group.
* Identify, train, and support practice teachers, providing guidance to students on placement.
* Manage arrangements for employees seconded for professional social work training.
* Collaborate with colleagues, independent and voluntary sectors, and Higher Education Providers to maintain a local Practice Learning Partnership.
* Promote and facilitate post-qualifying awards and Continuous Professional Development activities.
Requirements
* Substantial experience in a social care setting.
* Experience in formal training of colleagues and/or other professionals.
* Experience in supervising, supporting, or coaching staff, students, or volunteers.
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
* Evidence of post-qualification professional development.
* Relevant Training and Development qualification.
* Registration with the Care Council for Wales or equivalent.
* Full valid driving license and use of a car.
* DBS and HCPC Registration required.
Additional Information
* Working hours: 18.50 hours per week.
