Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy service within the Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation pathway. This post involves working directly alongside the specialist OT and wider multidisciplinary teams, flexibly across the neurological rehabilitation pathway within ACHSCP including the in-patient specialist rehabilitation unit at Woodend Hospital, community home link services, and Horizons rehabilitation teams to meet service need. Applicants should have previous neurological rehabilitation experience as a band 6 Occupational Therapist, and experience working in a variety of in-patient and community rehabilitation settings.
The post holder will require a valid Driving Licence for driving within the UK, and have access to a car for work purposes. There may be a need for extended working hours, public holiday cover and weekend working in the future. Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular support, supervision, appraisal and in-service training, as well as access to relevant external training. Support and education of students, junior staff and support workers forms part of this role.
Responsibilities
* Provide neurorehabilitation services as part of the Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation pathway, working alongside the specialist OT and wider multidisciplinary teams.
* Collaborate across in-patient and community rehabilitation settings to meet service needs.
* Support and educate students, junior staff and support workers; participate in supervision, appraisal and in-service training.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Neurological rehabilitation experience as a band 6 Occupational Therapist.
* Experience working in a variety of in-patient and community rehabilitation settings.
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
Additional Information
