HR Generalist (Advisor/Business Partner)
Contract – 2/3 months
Glasgow (North East), predominately on-site
Circa £50,000
We’re currently looking for an experienced HR Generalist / HR Advisor / HR Business Partner to join a leading manufacturing organisation on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who is immediately available and confident handling complex employee relations (ER) casework and engaging effectively with trade unions.
What you’ll be doing:
* Acting as the first point of contact for managers on ER matters, including performance, absence, grievance, and disciplinary cases.
* Building trusted relationships with employees, managers, and union representatives.
* Providing clear, pragmatic advice aligned with employment law and company policy.
* Supporting the HR Director and site leadership team to maintain a positive, compliant working environment.
What we’re looking for:
1. Solid operational HR experience in a fast-paced environment (manufacturing or similar preferred).
2. Strong knowledge of employment law and confidence managing ER cases end-to-end.
3. Experience of working with trade unions.
4. A pragmatic, hands-on HR professional who can quickly add value.
