Lead Clinician – New Barn School
Location: New Barn School, Berkshire RG20 8HZ. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent (52 weeks). Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (DOE).
Responsibilities
* Clinically lead the in‑house team and manage a therapeutic caseload.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex profiles, including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH needs.
* Prioritise meeting EHCP plans, applying OFG clinical frameworks (all, group, individual).
* Coordinate line management of onsite clinical staff and supervise their work.
* Lead service development of the school‑based clinical service in partnership with the SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Maintain a person‑centred, safeguarding‑oriented culture.
Essential Criteria
* Degree or Doctorate in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy or Psychology.
* Valid registration and membership of the relevant professional body (e.g., BPS).
* Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing related to clinical and research activities.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services in the designated specialty (preferred).
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
