We’re working with a leading global energy company who are looking to hire a Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer into their London-based trading legal team. The role sits within a high-performing legal function that supports energy commodities and derivatives trading across multiple jurisdictions.
You’ll be closely integrated with the trading teams, offering clear, practical regulatory advice on complex issues as they arise.

* Advising traders and commercial teams under time-sensitive conditions.
* Handling regulatory investigations and enquiries (market conduct, trading behaviour, regulator requests).
* Providing regulatory and compliance support to Risk, Finance, and Ethics & Compliance functions.
* Supporting ESG and greenwashing risk assessments in response to increasing regulatory scrutiny.
Ideal Profile
* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 4-7 PQE and a strong financial services regulatory background.
* Experience from private practice (FS regulatory, derivatives/commodities) or an in-house trading/legal team (energy, commodities, investment banking).
* Confident advising in fast-paced, front-office facing environments.
* Exposure to regulatory investigations and/or ESG-related matters would be valued.
