About the Role
:
We are looking for multi skilled operatives to join our team in Birmingham. You will be carrying out a variety of property maintenance tasks, including painting, plastering, brickwork, carpentry, tiling, silicone/mastic works, groundworks and minor plumbing in tenanted properties. The role requires a delivering high-quality repairs and installations across domestic properties.

Duties:
1. Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted social housing properties
2. Replacing or repairing skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames
3. Installing and adjusting kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors
4. Repairing or replacing internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges
5. Identifying and fixing minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps, and blocked sinks
6. Carrying out patch plastering and making good, damaged walls or ceilings
7. Completing wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing
8. Painting and decorating to a professional finish following repair works
9. Ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
10. Working in occupied properties with sensitivity to residents’ needs and privacy
11. Participating in out-of-hours emergency repair rota as required
12. Reporting any further works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues beyond scope
13. Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes
14. Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
15. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
16. Manage daily workload efficiently to meet service level targets
Role Criteria:
17. Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
18. Full UK driving licence
19. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
20. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
21. Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
22. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
23. Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
