Advert Senior Clerical Assistant (7/00931) Kells Primary School £11,836.61 - £12,038.68 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Clerical Assistant who possesses excellent IT skills together with good organisational and communication skills to assist with the functions of the school office for 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The ability to work with the minimum of supervision and appreciation of the need for absolute confidentiality is essential. The clerical assistant is vital to the smooth and efficient running of the school and is a highly valued member of the whole school staff. As the first point of contact for staff, visitors and callers to the school, it is important that you create a friendly, courteous and welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a range of clerical duties to meet with the expectations of all school staff and Management Team. An excellent knowledge of all Microsoft packages is essential. An IT aptitude test will form part of the interview process for this post. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates are required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
