Over 30 years of experience in education, teaching from Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 to Higher Education. Former senior lecturer at Liverpool Hope University, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Holds a Master of Science in Education and is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching; also an experienced SIAMS inspector. Passionate about providing opportunities for all children and supporting the Church of England's vision of 'life in all its fullness' for everyone.

Collaborated with the Leadership Team of the MAT since its inception. Previously worked with the Executive Headteacher and Leadership Team at a strategic level for over 25 years. Holds the National Professional Qualification for Headship. Developed her role at St. Bede rather than pursuing headship. Extensive experience across all primary age ranges. Roles include strategic Director of St. Bede C of E Primary Academy, St. Bede Primary MAT, and St. Bede Childcare; involved in SLE interviews, ‘deep dives’, Ofsted programmes, data analysis, quality assurance, and observations. Former branch secretary for the Bolton NAHT and long-standing Chair of the local cluster group.

Currently Vicar of St. Bede Parish Church, part of the St. Bede family since 2019. Serves on the Local Governing Board. Extensive governance experience in education, including roles as Governor and Trustee in schools and MATs within Bolton. Focused on developing the school’s vision and Christian Ethos. Leads collective worship at St. Bede Academy and supports the pupil Ethos group. Committed to strengthening the relationship between St. Bede Church and the Academy.
Venerable Rachel Mann

Served in the diocese for 18 years, including curacy at St. Matthew's Church, Stretford, and roles as Priest-in-Charge and Rector at St. Nicholas, Burnage. Became Area Dean of Bury and Rossendale in June 2021. A prolific writer and media commentator, regularly sharing 'Pause For Thought' on BBC Radio 2 and 'Thought for the Day' on Radio 4.

Area Dean since June 2021; previously Parish Priest in Bury for 10 years and Curate in Salford for three. Passionate about education and the role of Church schools in promoting the common good across faiths, inspired by Jesus Christ. Has served as a Governor, Trustee, and member of various schools and charities. Married to a Headteacher with two sons.
