Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Agent to lead delivery of reinforced concrete (RC) structures on the HS2 project in Northamptonshire. You will take ownership of a significant section of works, managing multiple teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of critical structural elements, including bridges, viaducts, and retaining walls. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role on one of the UK’s largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities As an Agent, you will be accountable for managing the successful delivery of your allocated works package. Duties include: Leading the delivery of RC and structural works from inception to completion Managing Site Engineers, Section Engineers, and Sub Agents Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring performance meets programme and quality requirements Overseeing all safety, environmental, and quality compliance on site Preparing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, and handover documentation Driving short-term and long-term planning in line with project milestones Managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting Building strong working relationships with the client, designers, and senior management teams Proactively identifying and resolving technical and operational challenges About You To be successful in this role, you should have: Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related field Extensive experience delivering RC structures – bridges, viaducts, retaining walls, etc. Strong background working as an Agent, Sub Agent, or Project Manager on major civil engineering schemes In-depth knowledge of temporary works, sequencing, and structural delivery Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills Valid CSCS card
