Teaching Assistant
* Annual Salary: £14.63/£16.35 per hour
* Location: PR4 area
* Job Type: Full-time
* 08:45 - 15:15
* Start Easter until Summer2026
Join our team at Heysham School as a Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to a friendly and supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone with a good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and who is looking for ongoing professional development opportunities.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the delivery of daily lessons and educational activities tailored to the needs of KS2 students.
* Support the classroom teacher in preparing materials and setting up activities.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
* Work closely with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning material.
* Participate in and supervise students during school activities and outings.
* Assist with the after-school club on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a finishing time of 4:30 PM (Not mandatory but paid)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
* Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational position
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* TA2 qualification or other relevant certification
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Commitment to professional growth and development.
