The post holder's primary responsibility is to assist residents with day-to-day tasks in the Care Home.
Supervision and Teamwork
Work under the supervision and guidance of the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager. Attend and participate in team meetings and staff development programs as identified in the annual staff appraisal system.
Resident-Centered Care
Foster an environment that encourages residents to maintain and develop independence in a person-centered manner. Communicate with residents empathetically and provide reassurance, supporting those with dementia and communication difficulties.
Care Responsibilities
* Assist in the assessment process by contributing to understanding residents' needs.
* Help deliver and update care plans based on residents' needs.
* Report observations on residents' progress or deterioration to senior staff or the Registered Manager.
* Provide personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, and undressing residents.
* Assist with toileting, especially for residents who are physically or mentally frail or confused.
* Use mobility aids such as commodes, wheelchairs, and hoists as needed.
* Participate in developing activities and day care programs to enhance residents' quality of life.
* Assist residents who are dying with sensitivity and dignity.
