About the opportunity
Energy Programmes is one of our newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
Amentum are currently recruiting an Anchorage Engineer who will support the Steelworks & Anchorage team on one of the UK's largest nuclear power projects. You will ensure quality anchorage design and analysis, from assumptions to calculations and risk evaluation. Your future team is central to civil integrity across the nuclear island. Key responsibilities will be:
1. Analyse and verify the consistency of technical input data
2. Produce assumption notes, technical specifications, and calculation reports
3. Coordinate the work of CAD Designers with the Design Office Manager
4. Design structural fastenings into reinforced and pre-stressed concrete
5. Perform technical verification of civil documentation
6. Maintain and update the Design Risk Register
7. Identify and propose technical solutions to engineering constraints
8. Collaborate across teams to support safe and compliant design development
Here's What You'll Need:
Qualifications
9. Civil/Structural Engineering degree with anchorage design knowledge
10. Experience designing fastenings in reinforced concrete
11. Understanding of RCC and Eurocode standards
12. Working knowledge of ANSYS software
13. Experience managing design changes and layout constraints
14. Awareness of UK Health & Safety regulations
