If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Lead Pharmacist Surgery and Nutrition to join the Surgery and Critical Care pharmacy team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT).
As Lead Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing new medicines and guidelines across multiple specialties, alongside providing clinical expertise to patients requiring parenteral nutrition. Working closely with consultants, specialist nurses, dietitians, and frontline healthcare professionals, you will drive excellence in medicines management, safety, and governance.

* Responsible for managing, delivering, planning, and developing the clinical pharmacy services to the Surgical directorate cross-site and patients who require parenteral nutrition (PN) Trust-wide. The Surgical directorate includes Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU), Trauma and Orthopaedics, General and Elective Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, and Plastics.
* To provide leadership and training of the team that delivers this service to ensure the service is provided to high standards.
* To manage medicine-related risks and ensure Trust Medicines policy and medicines legislation are complied with within the surgical directorate and for patients with PN needs.
* To provide a consistently high pharmacy service to patients in line with the Trust's corporate objectives and the NHS plan.
* To support the Trust's financial objectives by providing financial analysis and advice related to medicines management to the Surgical Directorate, PN service, and the Pharmacy department.
