Assistant Psychologist (Macmillan) – fixed term vacancy until October 2026 to support the Clinical Psychology service for cancer patients at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, funded by Macmillan. Employment hosted at QEH within the Clinical Health Psychology Department.
Clinical Psychology is valued at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will be a full member of the department and contribute to developing a strong, focused Clinical Health Psychology service. You will work with clinical psychologists and other psychologist colleagues across physical health disciplines. Supervision and line management will be provided by a Macmillan clinical psychologist within the department. This post is part of a regional effort to develop psycho-oncology services across three trusts to ensure equity of access for cancer patients.
You will support and enhance professional psychological care for adults currently or previously under the oncology or palliative care teams at QEH. You will also provide psychological screening, assessment and interventions under supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist within the Oncology/Palliative Psychology Speciality. There will be opportunities to contribute to clinically related administration, audits, statistics collection, and the development of audit/research projects, teaching and project work. This is a time of exciting hospital redevelopment and digital transformation initiatives at QEH, including a new electronic patient record (EPR) implementation from 2026 to improve joined-up care.
Location: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust, covering West and North Norfolk, North Cambs and South Lincolnshire.

Responsibilities
