About The Role

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our Financial Accounts Team as a Finance Analyst within the UK Corporate Services division. This role is based in Doxford, SR3 3XP, and is integral to supporting the financial health and strategic planning of the Corporate Centre. The Finance Analyst will play a key role in delivering accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial data, contributing to informed decision-making across the organization.

The role involves managing intercompany recharges, management fees, cash flow reporting, and issue-based reconciliations. The Finance Analyst will also support the Financial Accounts Manager and Head of Treasury, providing valuable insights and analysis to enhance financial operations. The position offers an excellent platform for professional development within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with opportunities to influence key financial processes and contribute to Arriva's continued success.

Qualifications

* CIMA Qualified Accountant or equivalent qualification/experience
* Proven experience in producing budgets and forecasts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
* Experience working with budget holders in a management accountant capacity
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience managing multiple relationships at senior levels
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities
* Advanced proficiency in Excel
* Good presentation skills, preferably with PowerPoint experience
* Ability to prioritize workload effectively and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

* Deliver the Corporate Centre budget and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Collaborate with Senior Finance Business Partners to produce consistent and reliable financial reports
* Prepare monthly estimates, actuals, and variance analysis to monitor financial performance
* Ensure intercompany recharges and management fees are accurately calculated, recorded, and invoiced
* Review and report on cash flow for Corporate Centre entities to support liquidity management
* Produce monthly issue-based reconciliations for the Corporate Centre
* Assist the Financial Accounts Manager and Head of Treasury with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and enhance data quality
