Lead Agile BA - Edinburgh Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: * Deep expertise in Agile Business Analysis and BDD-aligned practices * Ability to own complex initiatives spanning multiple workstreams and vendors * Mentor and guide junior BAs; ensure BA artefact quality and consistency * Proven experience in Life Insurance, Annuities, Pensions, or Long?Term Savings products * Strong engagement with Business, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Architecture, and Technology teams * Hands?on experience in Agile / Hybrid / Waterfall delivery models and Working knowledge of Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint support The Role The person appointed for this role will act as a specialist authority for business analysis quality across a large-scale delivery that is adopting new ways of working. Primary focus on reviewing, coaching, and improving BA outputs rather than owning delivery of change. The selected candidate will need to rapidly get up to speed with Ways of Working, ensuring analysis artefacts consistently reflect agile, BDD, and value-driven principles and align to predefined standards, guides and templates. He/she will need to operate as a hands-on coach and reviewer, raising the overall standard, consistency, and effectiveness of analysis outputs across squads and teams. Your responsibilities: * Quickly embeds the way of Working, including agile, BDD, and value driven analysis. * Acts as a quality authority for analysis artefacts (user stories, acceptance criteria, scenarios). * Reviews BA outputs to ensure they are outcome and value focused, avoiding system, solution, or process led language. * Provides clear, constructive feedback and hands on coaching to raise analysis standards across teams. * Helps BAs shift mindset from documenting solutions to describing user needs, behaviours, and business value. * Drives consistency of analysis quality across squads ensuring feedback is consistent, timely and drives through put at pace. * Operates similarly to an agile coach, but with a very specific remit on analysis quality, review, and outputs * Able to build strong, trusted working relationships quickly with BAs and delivery team members.
