Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.
Objectives and Responsibilities:
1. Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
2. To follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
3. Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
4. To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
5. To add a polite greeting and excellent customer service
6. Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers
Main Duties:
7. To deliver industry leading customer service
8. To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
9. To deter violence and public order offences
10. To conduct patrols of the store
11. Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
12. Liaise with the store management teams
13. To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
14. Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
15. To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
Who are we looking for?
16. Experience of delivering Customer Service
17. Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal
18. Adaptable communication style to meet the needs of different people groups
19. Ability to work in a fast-moving services business
20. Capability in the use of technology
21. Good attention to detail
22. High level of enthusiasm and passion
23. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
24. Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential
