Design & Production Engineer
to join their growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, customer-specific products.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to work in a dynamic environment where design precision, manufacturing efficiency, and technical excellence are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs) to support accurate procurement and production planning.
Prepare and manage technical documentation, manufacturing instructions, and compliance files.
Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and executed.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring seamless transition from concept to manufacture.
Participate in internal design reviews, project meetings, and customer-facing discussions.
Provide cross-functional technical support across departments.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards including ISO 9001, UL508A, and EN60204.
Candidate Profile:
Essential:
HNC/ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar design/production engineering role.
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills across internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Proven experience in design for manufacture within a fast-paced production environment.
Desirable:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, E-Plan, Pro-E, and Corel Draw.
Experience in PLC programming for automated testing.
Background in control panel design and assembly.
Ability to contribute to team leadership and mentoring.
Experience in preparing quotations and technical estimates.
