Position: Legal Secretary Residential Conveyancing
Location: Glasgow City Centre, Office Based
Salary: Circa £23,000 £28,000 per annum (DOE)
Were seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Secretary to join an established Residential Conveyancing team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and client-focused legal practice, where your administrative and organisational skills will directly support the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, including but not limited to:
* Providing general administrative and clerical support to Directors and Paralegals
* Arranging client meetings and maintaining regular contact throughout the conveyancing process
* Collecting and filing AML documentation in line with Law Society requirements
* Preparing and submitting LBTT Returns to Revenue Scotland
* Drafting legal documents such as Dispositions and Standard Securities
* Submitting registration forms to Registers of Scotland
* Opening, maintaining and closing client files
* Assisting with title inventories and document preparation
* Ensuring compliance with Data Protection policies when handling confidential information
* Conducting basic legal research and sharing findings with fee earners
* Photocopying, scanning, and general file management (both electronic and paper)
* Supporting team members during absences and holiday cover
About You:
* A proven career track record in a legal secretary or administrative support role within residential conveyancing is essential
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Confident communication skills, written and verbal, with clients and colleagues
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the wider legal team
* Commitment to confidentiality and data protection best practices
