About the role:
At InPost Newstrade, we have an opening for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Maidstone. InPost is a continuously evolving company, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of that growth and help accelerate it. InPost Newstrade is a time-critical logistics business delivering supply chain solutions across Newstrade, Retail, eCommerce, and more.
Location: Unit C, Larkfield Industrial Estate, New Hythe Lane, Aylesford ME20 6SW
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, as per business requirements
Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible for maximising operational performance by directing daily, weekly, and monthly activities, providing leadership, motivation, training, and development of the workforce, and executing customer requirements. Ability to manage remote teams and deal with customers daily is essential.
Operations Manager Duties:
* Manage hub picking and processing operations for magazines serving 5,000+ retailers
* Support and develop the operational team
* Ensure performance exceeds customer expectations in line with KPIs
* Develop effective relationships with internal and external customers
* Ensure operational compliance, including H&S
* Assist the General Manager in meeting operational standards
* Plan and conduct regular reviews and training for operational staff
* Monitor the use of driver and vehicle resources
* Build relationships with customers
* Coordinate site housekeeping and maintenance to uphold H&S standards
* Some UK travel may be required
