Position: Support Worker
Location: Bexleyheath, England, UK
Contract Details: Full-time, Permanent
Our client is a leading provider of support services for individuals with diverse needs. They are recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team in Bexleyheath, England.
As a Support Worker, your main responsibility will be to provide person-centred care and support to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges, and/or complex needs. The Support Worker will work closely with our clients to promote independence, well-being, and community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders
- Provide personal care and support according to individual care plans
- Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, medication administration, and household chores
- Support Workers will support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or social well-being
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure clients' needs are met
- Maintain accurate and timely records of clients' care and progress
- Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in social work, psychology, or a related field is an asset
- Previous experience working with individuals with diverse needs as a Support Worker is preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team of Support Workers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
