About the Role Milk Education is working with a network of welcoming secondary schools across Leeds, and we’re looking for a Design & Technology (Resistant Materials) Teacher to join our team from January. This is a great opportunity for teachers seeking flexible work or looking to gain experience across multiple school settings. As a DT Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons in Resistant Materials, helping students develop practical skills, creativity, and design thinking. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality DT lessons across KS3–KS5, following school curriculum and projects. Plan and lead practical activities in woodwork, metalwork, and other resistant materials. Support students in developing problem-solving, design, and technical skills. Manage classroom and workshop behaviour safely and effectively. Follow school policies and procedures at all times. About You We’d love to hear from you if you have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching DT, specifically Resistant Materials. Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. Confidence delivering lessons to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students. A flexible, professional, and student-focused approach.
