Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are currently seeking a RMN Band 6.
Nightingale House is a 13-bed mixed gender rehab unit within walking distance to Westbourne shops and the beach. We support individuals with chronic, treatment-resistant mental health issues, often serving as a stepping stone for those who have previously spent extended periods in hospital.
Our goal is to facilitate a seamless transition from inpatient care to the community, supporting patients through their recovery. Staff assist in promoting self-medication, developing independent living skills such as cooking, shopping, and budgeting, and helping individuals access community activities.
We aim to provide a service fully integrated with the local community and its resources.
This role requires a motivated, driven, and passionate registered professional committed to developing an outstanding service.
Induction and additional training opportunities will be provided.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position covering day, night, and weekend shifts on a rotation basis.
This is a fixed-term role. For NHS staff, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on secondment before applying.
The responsibilities include assisting the Ward Manager in delivering high-quality nursing care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, liaising with families, carers, community teams, GPs, and other professionals to facilitate patients’ transition to the community.
You will work with individuals to help them acquire or regain skills and confidence for independent living, focusing on minimizing symptoms and functional impairments, and promoting autonomy and independence.
You will develop therapeutic relationships and engage patients in collaborative goal-setting, providing a range of clinical interventions to balance therapeutic needs with support and security, respecting individuality and promoting autonomy in the least restrictive environment.
