Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups or, if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
Responsibilities
We adhere to national Safer Recruitment guidance. During the application process, candidates should provide details of at least two appropriate references, including one from their current or most recent employer. This reference should be from an appropriate senior manager and not from a peer at the same level.
The Individual
