Job Description / Person Specification
The Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Strategic Insight Unit, supporting continuous improvement, transformation, and change initiatives across the authority. The role involves utilizing analytical methodologies, tools, and products such as lean systems and predictive analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
This demanding role is suited for individuals experienced in complex local authority or public sector environments, with a strong understanding of current issues, challenges, and developments. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting detailed diagnostics, including root cause analysis
* Collaborating to generate and evaluate improvement options
* Analyzing service demand, supply, utilization, and performance
* Applying understanding of complex systems and processes
* Supporting business case development and benefits tracking
* Integrating and interpreting large, complex data sets
* Managing stakeholder relationships effectively
* Supporting a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
The position is initially a fixed-term 12-month contract with potential for permanence based on organizational needs.
