Position: Control Room Operator
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Start date: Immediate
Pay Rate: £19.85/hr PAYE (including Shift Allowance and Hol Pay)
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 37 hrs/week, covering Days & Night shifts, Mon-Sun
The Role:
Our client currently has a requirement for a Control Room Operative for a power station in Nottinghamshire. The role is key in the safe and efficient operation of the site and duties will include:
* Using SCADA systems to control industrial processes, monitor and gather and record real time data, monitoring and controlling routes for materials and directly interacting with sensors, motors, valves etc
* Communicating requirements and information to appropriate departments and supervisors
* Reporting and recording any defects to appropriate departments and supervisors
Requirements:
* Good level of computer literacy and experience using computerised systems
* Understanding of the material handling systems
* Control room operations training an advantage
* Good understanding / knowledge of heavy site plant
* Clear and consistent communication
* Attention to detail
* Positive attitude to safety with the confidence to challenge unsafe working
