Job Description
Kitchen Assistant
Reporting to the Nursery Chef, the Kitchen Assistant's duties include:
* Preparing trays and taking lunch to all the play rooms.
* Collecting all the used dishes from the playrooms.
* Doing the washing up as required by the cook
* Help the cook prepare lunch and tea for the nursery and tea for School's Out
* Responsible for helping the Cook keep the Kitchen clean according to the Kitchen Cleaning Schedule
* Read, understand and follow all policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene both in the Kitchen and throughout the Nursery
* Read, understand and follow all recommendations contained within the Risk Assessments of:
* Food Preparation (Kitchen Hazard Analysis)
* Food Serving (Hazard Analysis)
* Responsible (along with the Cook) for proposing any changes to improve the following policies to Steph Molnar:
* Food Policy
* Allergies and Food Intolerance Policy
* Health and Safety Policy
* Mealtime Policy
* Responsible for completing records of the following checklists:
* Kitchen Hygiene Inspection Checklist
* Kitchen Cleaning Schedule Checklist
* Responsible for reporting any problems regarding equipment maintenance or failure, or policy non-compliance to the Cook and Steph Molnar.
* Must already have, or be working towards, a current Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
* Have an awareness & understanding that safeguarding is everybody's responsibility and that you have a duty to act accordingly & report any concerns.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
