Job Summary
Creative Youth is seeking emerging visual artists for their upcoming Open Call Exhibition. We invite works that embody the theme of magic in all its forms. Show us where you find magic in your artwork.
Job Description
Magic means different things to different people—from everyday beauty to fantasy, illusion, and the extraordinary. It is an interaction with the unknown, influenced by culture, folklore, rituals, community, love, or nature. Magic is subjective, much like art. We encourage you to reflect on what magic means to you and how it manifests in your creative practice.
We seek works that capture the essence of magic—whether through fantastical worlds, otherworldly forms, wonder, or transformation. We want to see where you find magic in your artwork.
This exhibition is generously funded by Arts Council England, offering artists free exhibition space and the chance to be selected for a 6-week residency with a £1000 bursary, culminating in a solo exhibition.
Job Requirements
This open call is open to all visual art mediums. Each applicant may submit only 1 piece of work.
Artists have the opportunity to sell their artwork; FUSEBOX will not take any commission for sales.
Applicants will be notified by Wednesday 18 June 2025. If you do not receive an email by then, please assume your application was unsuccessful.
We welcome applications across all visual art disciplines.
