Ward 1 Care of the Elderly Unit Rehabilitation Unit is part of the Medicine and Emergency Care Business Unit. The unit currently has 10 in-patient beds, with plans to expand to 24 in the new hospital build. It provides evidence-based multidisciplinary care focused on rehabilitation and palliative care for frail older persons, including comprehensive elderly assessments.
The ward aims to facilitate patients' recovery journey, enabling them to return home or to further care in the community. The Ward Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the ward, demonstrating excellent leadership and enthusiasm for staff and service development. The role requires professional attributes such as embracing diversity, managing change, and working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and passionate nurse committed to high-quality patient care. The post holder must be flexible, possess expertise in delivering high standards of nursing care within the acute medical pathway, and demonstrate excellent clinical leadership and communication skills across the multidisciplinary team.
