About the role Reporting to the Head of Investment & Sustainability, you will hold an important role as a hands-on team leader, managing your own caseload while actively leading and supporting your team of Maintenance Inspectors, to ensure delivery of day-to-day repairs, damp and mould works and inspections, to a consistently high standard. As Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for taking a proactive approach to ensuring resident safety, particularly in relation to damp and mould issues, by identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring homes remain safe and habitable. You will be accountable for the successful delivery of operations targets, compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements and internal policies and procedures. Our successful candidate will be an exceptional relationship builder, leading by example and actively supporting a team culture of continuous learning and improvement. Travel across our areas of operation will be an important part of the role, therefore a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential. What you will bring To be successful as our Maintenance Team Leader you will; Be educated to HND Level and/or hold a relevant professional Building Maintenance/ Asset Management qualification Experience of working within social housing or repairs and maintenance, delivering repairs and maintenance works from inception to completion Knowledge of SHQS and EESSH standards, and property related legislation. Technical knowledge of assessing and resolving issues related to damp and mould in buildings Experience of instructing and managing external contractors and suppliers Evidence of, and commitment to, the delivery of a high-quality customer service Proven ability to manage resources, timelines, and workloads to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, and to a high standard, whilst delivering value for money, in line with budget Experience of supporting team members in their growth and development through tailored guidance and support, and proactively addressing issues that arise A place where everyone can thrive The Maintenance Team Leader is a Hybrid Role, which means you will work flexibly from a range of sites including: working from home, at Caledonia Group Offices, or on a mobile basis to be near customers or assets. Travel throughout our areas of operation will be required for this role.
