Smokefree Lancashire has been commissioned to deliver the stop smoking service across 12 districts of Lancashire. Our goal is to make smoking cessation a priority for everyone. We provide advice and information to people who want to quit smoking and develop personalised plans during one-to-one support sessions. We also offer groupwork sessions, pharmacotherapy and deliver training to our partner agencies.
We have an exciting opportunity a Smokefree Lancashire Senior Practitioner to join our Smokefree Lancashire service. The new post holders will join our dedicated team, providing advice and information to people who want to quit smoking as well as line managing a team.

Responsibilities
* To promote the benefits of smoking stopping smoking and the stop smoking services
* To lead a specialist team providing brief advice and structured programmes to a wide population of individuals across Lancashire
* To lead on key work-streams as required to ensure that services are appropriately tailored and targeted to specific target groups.
* Engage with the wider community to increase understanding of the impacts of smoking on health and wellbeing and encourage appropriate referrals.
* Support the Service Manager to ensure service targets are achieved
* Provide line management, supervision and appraisals to Specialists.
Qualifications
* Understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with smoking.
* Experience of delivering health and/or social care interventions.
* Experience of providing line management, supervision and appraisals to staff or volunteers.
* Experience of carrying out assessments and delivering interventions matched to identified needs.
* Be able to work as part of a team
* Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of the treatments and interventions available to smokers.
* Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing.
