Job Summary
14‑month fixed‑term apprenticeship as Rheumatology Waiting List Coordinator. You will develop Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship qualification while supporting the Rheumatology department.
Key Details
Location: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, Colney Lane, Norwich. Salary: £14,722 per annum. Contract: Apprenticeship, 14 months, full‑time.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Manage and prioritise rheumatology waiting lists, ensuring accurate real‑time data entry.
* Maintain compliance with Patient Access Policy, PAS User Policy and information governance.
* Implement booked admission protocols, oversee daily admission lists and compile departmental admission lists.
* Coordinate with consultants, secretaries, general practitioners and day‑unit staff to keep lists up to date.
* Record patient details in the unit’s patient management system, including waiting list card details.
* Deal with urgent referrals in line with Patient Access policy.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good standard of education – 4 GCSEs grade C/3 or above (including Maths and English).
* Good literacy, numeracy, IT (Microsoft Office) and communication skills.
* Experience working in a team (desirable).
* Understanding of NHS patient confidentiality and GP referral pathways.
