Senior Civil Technician Location: UK or Ireland (Supporting Both Regions)

To support ongoing growth across a diverse and prestigious project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Technician to join their multi-disciplinary team.
About the Role As a Senior Civil Technician, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality civil engineering drawings, models, and documentation. Working closely with engineers and project managers, you will support both UK and Irish operations, contributing to the design and development of a wide range of civil engineering projects.
This role offers excellent opportunities to further develop both technical and managerial skills. You will receive structured on-the-job training, participate in the companys in-office CPD programme, and be encouraged to engage in external learning such as seminars, lectures, and technical development activities.
Qualifications Level 6 Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience .
Technician Membership of ICE or equivalent professional body.
Key Responsibilities Lead the production and delivery of high-quality civil engineering drawings and schedules using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Assist engineers with design output and ensure all deliverables meet company ISO standards.
Prepare risk assessments and health & safety documentation.
Review, check, and ensure the technical accuracy of drawings produced by junior technicians.
Manage workflow, resources, and programmes to ensure efficient, on-budget delivery.
Attend design meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development where appropriate.
Mentor, train and support junior staff, promoting continuous learning and development.
Ensure all work aligns with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
Maintain a minimum of 3 days relevant CPD per year, both in and out of office hours.
Skills & Attributes Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and the ability to apply codes of practice across a range of materials and project types.
High-level IT proficiency, including:
AutoCAD (expert)
Civil 3D (expert)
Competence in Revit, Autotrack, Causeway Flow, Linsig, and Arcady
Strong knowledge of Excel and Word
Excellent communication skillsclear, concise, and professional in both written and verbal formats.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the project delivery process.
Ability to take a proactive approach, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.
Demonstrated success working closely with clients, contractors, and design partners.
