Job title: Process Engineer

Salary: £42,132
What you’ll be doing:
* Ensuring that test and evaluation processes are carried out safely by identifying and understanding process risks and implementing the necessary controls to ensure process risks are As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
* Managing the Basis of Safety for processes at our Test and Evaluation sites.
* Assuming Process Technical Authority (PTA) appointment as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for test and evaluation processes in support of the Basis of Safety.
* Producing clear and concise written process control documents such as PFMEA, PCP, PFD, and work instructions.
* Planning and designing methods to improve efficiency and product quality using Continuous Improvement (CI) tools, working as part of a cross-functional team.
* Interrogating plant/equipment and product technical specifications and drawings, and working to improve equipment availability with Facilities.
* Liaising with Product & Process Engineering to develop and certify process control trilogy.
* Producing technical specifications for new/replacement equipment, supporting trials and commissioning.
Your skills and experiences:
* Essential: Qualification(s) in an engineering discipline (Science or Engineering degree, HNC, HND) or equivalent experience; experience within a test and evaluation environment (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, medical devices, etc.); ability to produce clear instructions.
* Desirable: Experience working within a multi-functional team; Six Sigma Green Belt qualification with a goal to achieve Black Belt; IOSH Managing Safely certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

Join our growing Test & Evaluation team within the Defence Solution Business, focusing on safety and quality in test processes. As a process engineer, you will report to the technical manager and collaborate closely with safety, high hazard engineers, and technicians to drive process excellence.
