Join to apply for the Customer Consultant role at Skipton Building Society. This is a multisite role to work in both our West Kirby and Chester branches. You will predominantly be based in West Kirby; however, we are looking for someone who is able to work in Chester as required. The role is permanent, 18 hours per week. Days and hours will be based on business need and discussed at interview. There is a requirement to work on Saturdays in Chester on a rota basis (approximately 2 Saturdays per month) for which you will receive time back in lieu. Salary is £23,600 pro rata.

What Will You Be Doing As A Customer Consultant?
* Be the First Point of Contact: You’ll warmly welcome customers, in-branch and over the phone, making a positive first interaction.
* Engage and Understand: Ask insightful questions to uncover our customers’ needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Listen and Tailor Solutions: Hear each customer’s circumstances and offer personalized solutions to meet their needs and support the community.
* Proactive Outreach: Contact customers by phone to identify needs and discuss how we can help.
* Maintain Accurate Records: Use internal systems to keep customer records up-to-date and identify and support vulnerable customers.
* Adhere to Policies: Understand and follow our policies, standards and controls, with training and coaching provided.
What Do We Need From You?
* Experience in interacting with customers. Prior experience in a bank or building society is not required; we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who can demonstrate customer service excellence.
* Your experience may be in person or over the phone; the ability to engage flexibly with customers across channels is valued.
* Ability to work well with others in a team; strong time management to handle a busy day; adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.
