Overview
Head of Engineering / Head of Maintenance/Facilities. A hospitality client is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to manage its maintenance function across a multi-site estate. This includes planning and executing scheduled maintenance, managing technical infrastructure, and coordinating internal and external resources.
Responsibilities
* Plan and execute scheduled maintenance across multiple sites.
* Manage technical infrastructure and estate systems.
* Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver maintenance and projects.
* Lead from the front with a visible, proactive management style; regularly walk the site.
* Oversee budgets, multidisciplinary teams, and capital projects.
* Ensure continuous improvement of systems and standards; drive excellence in operations.
* Onsite requirement: role based on client estate in Somerset, with 5 days per week on site.
Essential Skills / Qualifications
* Relevant Engineering Degree.
* Experience in facilities management, multi-site businesses, project/site management, maintenance planning, and management of electrical systems.
* Strategic operator with 7+ years in engineering or technical leadership.
* Visible and proactive leadership; ability to lead from the front on site.
* Experience with CMMS software (Infraspeak a plus) and BMS platforms.
* Skilled in managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and capital projects.
* Familiar with IT networks, CCTV and estate infrastructure (hospitality experience is a bonus).
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience in hospitality or estate settings.
* Working knowledge of IT networks, telephony, and CCTV infrastructure.
* Familiarity with hospitality operational systems or estate-wide digital infrastructure.
