The Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group South West (FWAG SW) provides environmental and sustainability advice to
farmers, landowners and partners on a wide range of agricultural and conservation issues. We are seeking applicants for our new post of Office and Engagement Assistant to work 3 to 4 days a week (22.5 hours per week) providing valuable support to
colleagues in our admin and communications teams. Using your knowledge of, and interest in, great customer care, you will provide efficient member services,
manage our membership data and assist with events and communication to retain and grow
membership. Furthermore, you will support the development of written materials and digital
content to improve stakeholder engagement. You will have strong written and spoken
communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be an experienced and confident user of MS Office and social media.
This post will suit an individual looking to develop a career in engagement/communications and
administration, particularly within the environmental sector. Experience of working in a similar role and/or sector will be advantageous.

Role Overview:
Support the operation of FWAG SW regional office and engagement teams
Provide telephone and email support to member and client queries
Maintain and monitor the FWAG SW Membership database
Undertake general office duties
Summary of Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitor and process emails received into our general information and membership inbox
Maintain and monitor our Membership database and deal with queries from members and
colleagues regarding new and existing members
Ensure that confidentiality and best practice for data accuracy is observed at all times
Assist with membership engagement activity including event planning and delivery,
newsletters, social media and other activities
Assist in forging strong relationships with members and partners, whilst developing skills
and communication experience
Assist with the delivery of our communications strategy
Communicate effectively via email, telephone and in person with clients, colleagues,
partner organisations and stakeholders, dealing with queries appropriately and/or directing to
the appropriate person
Support projects, team and company events, as required
