Quantity Surveyor – Residential Groundworks
Enable Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Quantity Surveyor – Residential Groundworks based in Bristol.
This role offers the opportunity to join a contractor delivering residential groundworks projects within a busy regional market. The successful candidate will support the commercial management of projects, working closely with delivery teams to maintain cost control, manage subcontractors, and ensure commercially sound project performance.
This will suit someone who is looking to build on their commercial experience within a stable and active business, while taking ownership of key day-to-day surveying responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the commercial management of residential groundworks projects
* Prepare valuations, variations, forecasts, and cost reports
* Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and account administration
* Work closely with site teams to monitor progress and protect commercial position
* Assist with budget tracking, financial control, and cost analysis
* Support the preparation of final accounts and contractual documentation
* Maintain accurate commercial records and support reporting requirements
* Identify risks and opportunities to improve overall project performance
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within groundworks, civils, infrastructure, or residential construction
* Good understanding of commercial reporting, subcontractor management, and cost control
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good communication skills and the ability to work with both commercial and operational teams
* Organised and proactive approach to workload and project priorities
* Relevant qualifications would be beneficial
