MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retail Management
* Oversee day to day running of the Preloved retail offering, driving sales, profitability, stock management, merchandising and customer service.
* Oversee the Van Team and delivery schedule for all Van Drivers and Volunteers.
Community & Welfare provision
* To administer local welfare referrals, liaise with councils/agencies, and ensure provision of furniture to households in crisis. Monitoring the impact and reporting outcomes.
* Coordinate with local housing associations, social services and crisis support teams to expand welfare referral pathways.
* Promote dignity and choice in welfare provision by offering quality, safe and appropriate items.
* Represent the organisation at community forums, networks and welfare partnership meetings.
* Maintain a database of welfare recipients, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
People Management
* Directly line managing retail staff. Managing performance, training requirements, development and rotas.
* Taking the lead in recruiting additional volunteers for both Preloved and the Community Food Larder (working with the Team Leader for Food). Managing the volunteers at Preloved once recruited.
Compliance & Safety
* Ensuring all Health & Safety, safeguarding, GDPR and trading standards compliance, including furniture safety checks and PAT testing. With additional responsibility of overseeing health & safety compliance across all IMPAKT retail offerings including Preloved, Interiors, Singer Way and Cinch storage units.
* Act as Fire Marshall and First Aid Lead.
Compliance and Documentation
* Ensure all cash handling, tills and banking procedures are followed correctly for all IMPAKT retail offerings including filing of receipts, invoices and expense records for finance to reconcile.
* Supporting the Maintenance manager with fleet management, overseeing vehicle check compliance and being the first port of call in reporting issues. Monitoring Fuel card usage and retaining purchase receipts.
* Taking the lead in implementing Shopify at Preloved and working with the Finance team to ensure the monthly reports reflect the activity at the store.
Strategic Contribution
* Analyse sales trends and produce performance reports to assist the Operations Manager
* Maximise sales and implement Gift Aid to provide a reliable revenue stream that funds the organisations core services.
Identify new ways to increase income streams (e.g. online selling, events, local campaigns)

SCHEDULE:
37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday 9:00-5:00 – willing to be flexible on occasions
