The Role
A Prison and Community based role, the Kai Ringahora – Reintegration Services will join a team responsible for delivering reintegration programmes in Hawkes Bay Regional Prison (HBRP) and, as part of the Out of Gate service, support participants being released from HBRP, or returning to the East Coast Region. Reporting to the Team Manager and working closely with the Practitioner – Reintegration Services, you'll facilitate programmes, assess needs, support whānau, and develop tailored reintegration plans, based on the Six Pillars of Reintegration - Employment, Accommodation, Education & Training, Health & Wellbeing, Life Skills, Whānau & Community Support.
What you’ll bring:
* Experience working with whānau involved with the criminal justice system
* Ability to form effective working relationships with all stakeholders
* Knowledge of community services and support available to whanau
* Professionalism, and strong ethical boundaries
* A manaaki mindset with adaptability, in prison and community settings
Key Requirements:
* Level 4 Certificate in Health/Social Services and/or 2+ years’ relevant experience
* Confident using Microsoft Office and other data systems (e.g. Recordbase)
