SEND Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Newcastle)

Looking to make a real difference in the classroom every day? We’re working with a welcoming SEND school in Newcastle that’s on the lookout for a compassionate, proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs.
You’ll be part of a warm, supportive team that values calm communication, consistency, and creativity. The role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, helping students with autism and moderate learning difficulties reach their full potential.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
2. Encouraging independence and confidence in learning
3. Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher
4. Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom
What we’re looking for:
5. Experience in a SEND or mainstream classroom setting
6. A caring, patient, and positive attitude
7. Thrive or Team Teach training (or willingness to complete free training with us!)
