The Position
Working a four day week ( Mon - Thu ) the position involves calling off stock from bulk orders to ensure stock availability for production across the factories.
Manage the supply chain including expediting orders and dealing with quality issues and returns. The role involves working to tight deadlines, keeping stock records up to date and month end stock reconciliation and reporting.
Manage and control stock levels to ensure that the factory always has sufficient materials to maintain their planned production and targets.
Pick stocks for the following weeks production to ensure that everything is in place for the fabrication team
Update stock spreadsheet records, detailing all goods in and out.
Release transfers as appropriate for stocks to be delivered up from central stores facility.
Liaise with suppliers & production colleagues to ensure stock levels are in place in advance of factory requirements.
Produce and issue PO requisitions, and call off existing orders from suppliers to meet requirements
Month end stock reconciliation and reporting, and regular stock checks.
Inputting deliveries onto stock system
Operational duties as required including picking stock and dealing with ad-hoc site requirements.
The Person
An experienced Stock Controller within manufacturing, you will be reliable. motivated, enthusiastic, and keen to learn.
Good organisational skills combined with the ability to meet deadlines are crucial.
You should also be able to work on your own initiative and take ownership of the role.
