Job Title: Adult Social Worker - Long-Term Team
Location Barrow-In-Furness
Salary: £37.21 per hour
Are you a compassionate and dedicated social worker looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults in need? We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join our Long-Term Team in Barrow-In-Furness.
Responsibilities:
1. Work within a long-term team setting, focusing on completing Care Act assessments, Capacity assessments, Best Interest Assessments (BIA), reviews, and court work.
2. Manage a caseload of 25-30 adult service users, ensuring their needs are assessed and met effectively.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, care providers, and community resources, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
4. Conduct home visits within the local Barrow area as required to assess service users' living situations and support networks.
5. Provide advocacy and support to service users in navigating the social care system and accessing appropriate services and support.
Requirements:
6. Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
7. Proven experience in completing Care Act assessments, Capacity assessments, BIA, reviews, and court work within an adult social care setting.
8. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to adult social care, including the Care Act 2014.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships with service users and stakeholders.
10. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
11. Flexibility to work 2 days in the office per week, with additional visits in the local Barrow area as needed.
