HGV Class 2 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Barking, London. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. Shifts: Monday to Friday 6:00am starts Rates of pay: £19.00 per hour Benefits include: Excellent hourly rates Weekly pay Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Day-to-day duties: As a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to): Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required) Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential skills: To be successful as a Class 2 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category C licence A minimum of 12 month's experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes A valid UK CPC card and Digi card Good spoken and written English Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable experience: Previous commercial driving experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a Class 2 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
