Job summary – What to expect:
As Global Compliance Lead for CooperVision, you’ll prepare, roll-out and project manage a comprehensive ethics and compliance programme, aligned with, and supporting CooperCompanies' compliance initiatives and policies. The candidate will also work on matters related to global trade compliance, with a focus on sanctions, as well as leading, supporting and co-ordinating global projects and initiatives relating to Global Legal Operations.
Additional Functions & Accountabilities:
* Develop, recommend and maintain up-to-date policies and practices strengthening compliance across CooperVision, in alignment with CooperCompanies.
* Work with the Legal team to schedule and conduct training on compliance issues.
* Work with the wider business and Legal team to establish compliance horizon scanning activities.
* Identify key areas of risk and implement risk and compliance remediation initiatives.
* Assist with instructing and managing external counsel, as required, to advise on global trade compliance matters, with a particular focus on sanctions.
* Provide assistance with analysing, implementing and managing internal processes necessary to ensure compliance with global trade compliance legislation, with a particular focus on sanctions.
* Lead, support and co-ordinate global projects and initiatives relating to Global Legal Operations to drive consistency, efficiency and shared best practice.
* Implement scalable legal process improvements that support business growth whilst maintaining compliance.
* Lead and manage ad hoc risk and compliance projects.
About you:
You’ll have a minimum of 5 years in-house experience of structuring, developing and rolling out global ethics and compliance programmes. You may have worked within a legal role, however those that have worked within a similar role under a risk and compliance structure may also be suitable.
Commercially minded, decisive, highly organised coupled with great project management skills will be key attributes you’ll possess.
You’ll be an excellent communicator who will be able to lead meetings, deliver training and effectively collaborate within a multicultural environment.
