The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the school’s inclusion team to provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to pupils with MLD. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will help students access the curriculum, remain engaged, and develop confidence, independence, and learning skills through targeted interventions, classroom support, behaviour management, and use of resources and strategies that promote communication, social skills, and progress. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will also assist with lesson preparation and contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have experience working with children with MLD or SEN, be patient, nurturing, proactive, collaborative, and have a genuine passion for helping every child succeed. Psychology Graduates seeking school experience are also welcome to apply.
