Meraki Talent is working with a long‑standing client on the position of Director or Partner for a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants.
The business is a mid‑tier CA firm, providing audit, business services, advisory, tax and more. In recent years it has grown across all disciplines, particularly the Business Services function, which comprises 30+ staff delivering strategic advisory and outsourced financial services.
Role Overview
The Director or Partner in the Business Services function will lead a team of trainee accountants up to Manager grade. You will manage a portfolio of clients in sectors such as professional services, tech, renewables, energy, construction and manufacturing, shaping the team at all levels and becoming a key member of the leadership group. You will provide value‑add service internally and externally, and will be market‑active, networking to grow the business function while guiding the team toward excellence.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop trainee accountants up to Manager grade.
* Oversee finance management for a large portfolio of local market clients.
* Shape team structure, processes and culture across all levels.
* Act as a key member of the leadership group, influencing strategy.
* Provide value‑add service internally and to clients.
* Network and grow the Business Services function within the market.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced accounting professional at Manager or Senior Manager level (or Director).
* Strong background in audit, advisory, tax or business services.
* Leadership and team‑development skills.
* Industry experience in sectors such as professional services, tech, renewables, energy, construction, or manufacturing (preferable).
* Ability to be market‑facing and grow business relationships.
